Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a crowded California coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a row of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Recordings uploaded online capture the chopper beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five people were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were injured. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

The department said the aircraft was linked to an annual “Cars N Copters” fundraising event set for Sunday.
