Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with the company intending to announce complete information during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm planned to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented on the matter.
