Two Individuals Charged for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
